PremiumFormat matters more than the cover
A company diary does not compete with other merchandise; it competes with the calendar on a mobile phone. That is why format matters more than the cover colour. People planning meetings want week-to-view; people taking lots of notes, in clinics, on sites or in offices, want day-per-page; people who travel want a pocket diary that fits inside a jacket. Choosing the wrong format is what turns a good diary into something forgotten in a drawer.
The second factor is the inside layout. A diary for daily use usually has paper of around 70 g/m², monthly planning pages, a ribbon marker and, often, an elastic closure. The details on each model show the number of pages, the paper type and whether the diary is dated or undated.
For the cover, there are three main options: hardback and covered, which feels premium and lets you write without a desk; flexible, in PU or recycled material, lighter and easier to carry; and kraft card, for a simpler look. In terms of size, around 13 × 21 cm, close to A5, is the most common; pocket diaries are around 9 × 14 cm and large ones around 19 × 25 cm.
Which diary to choose
| Format | Best for | Advantage |
|---|---|---|
| Daily (day per page) | People who take lots of notes: clinics, sites, offices | A full page for each day |
| Weekly (week to view) | Sales teams and managers planning meetings | The whole week at a glance, with space for notes |
| Vertical weekly | People who organise the day by time slots | Days in columns, like a digital calendar |
| People who work outside the office or travel | Fits in the inside pocket of a jacket | |
| Undated | Orders placed out of season or starters joining mid-year | Starts in any month and does not go out of date |
| Light planner-notebook | Welcome packs and training sessions | Simple planner with a card cover, low weight |
How the cover is branded
| Technique | Result | When to choose it |
|---|---|---|
| Hot stamping | One-colour logo, metallic or blind debossed effect | Covered card or PU covers; the most understated finish |
| Screen printing | Flat ink in one colour | Smooth covers and single-colour logos |
| Pad printing | One or more flat colours in a small area | Flexible covers and multi-colour logos |
| UV digital print | Full colour, with gradients | Complex logos or designs covering the cover |
| Printed paper belly band | A full-colour band around the diary | Gift presentation; removed when the diary starts being used |
Not every technique is available on every model: the configurator on each item shows the options it supports.
A dated product: when to order
A dated diary follows a fixed calendar: it is chosen in early autumn, produced and delivered before the end of the year so it can start being used in January. Allow two or three weeks for production from the moment you approve the mock-up, plus transport, and leave some margin if delivery is split across several sites.
If you are late, or if the diary is for someone joining mid-year, the sensible option is an undated diary: it can start in any month. And if you are looking for a wall calendar or desk calendar with your own dates, that is printed to order: you will find it in custom calendars for companies.
Typical mistakes when ordering diaries with logo
- Choosing a day-per-page diary for someone who only notes down meetings: half the pages stay blank.
- Putting a large, multi-colour logo on a PU cover. Small, centred hot stamping looks far better.
- Ordering dated diaries in February. By then, undated is the only option that does not feel behind the times.
- Giving the diary on its own. A matching branded pen changes the presentation for very little.
- Giving the same diary to everyone: sales, management and technical teams use different formats, and you can combine several models in the same quote.
Order, mock-up and what to pair it with
Each model can be ordered from 10 units per item, with a minimum order of CZK 2,444 per quote, excluding VAT and shipping. We send you a free mock-up with your logo on the cover and you pay once you approve it; shipping includes tracking to one address or several sites across the European Union.
A diary works well with just a little: diary and metal pen is the classic year-end set; diary, notepad and pen works well as a starter kit. The rest of the desk range is in our custom stationery for companies.
How we choose
A notebook is judged by its paper.
The paper weight decides whether the notebook is used or left as decoration. Below 80 grams, the pen bleeds through and no one writes in it twice. We always request it in writing from the manufacturer.
- Paper of 80 grams or more, always
- Sewn binding, allowing it to open fully
- Recycled paper with certification, if requested

The detail
Blind embossing says more than colour.
On a hard cover, marking without ink gives a sober finish that lasts and never goes out of style.
