Weight matters more than the logo

With a towel, what makes it useful for years is not the size of the logo but the weight and the fibre. Cotton terry at 450 g/m² is the sweet spot: it absorbs well, dries in reasonable time and does not add much weight to a suitcase. At 550 g/m² the towel has more body and a more hotel-like feel, which makes it a good choice for a bathroom set or a client gift. Below 400 g/m², a shower towel feels thin and loses body after a few washes.

For sport, the criteria change. Polyester towels or quick-dry blends weigh much less, take up little room in a bag and dry faster than cotton, although they feel smoother. Hammam-style towels are different again: a flat, lightweight weave of around 150-180 g/m² that folds into very little space and works just as well for the beach as for the spa or travel. It is the same thinking we apply to the rest of our custom corporate textiles: first the use, then the branding.

Which size to choose for each use

The price on each product page includes one-colour branding in the standard position. If you want more thread colours or a different position, we adjust it in the quote.

Common mistakes when ordering towels with a logo

• Embroidering a fine logo directly onto cotton terry. The cotton loops swallow the thread and small lettering loses definition. The right place is the border, the smooth woven band without loops: the embroidery sits properly and stands up to washing.
• Printing on cotton terry. The ink sits on the tips of the loops and wears away. If you want a full-colour design, choose a polyester sports towel, which can be screen printed or transferred.
• Asking for a large logo. A towel is a household item: with subtle branding on the border, it gets used in the bathroom or at the gym; with a logo from edge to edge, it stays in the cupboard.
• Choosing the thread without looking at the towel. Tone on tone (grey thread on a grey towel, for example) gives a restrained finish that works very well on bath textiles. If you are unsure, ask for the mock-up to show both options.
• Waiting to have the sizes before requesting bathrobes. When you ask for a quote, you do not need to finalise the size split: you can confirm it later, with the size chart from the product page in front of you.

Where a logo towel fits best

A towel works well in three situations. As part of a gym kit, together with one of our branded sports bottles: a quick-dry 50 × 100 cm towel is light and fits into any rucksack.    Choose the model and colour

   On each product page you can see the price with embroidery included and how it falls as quantities increase. You can combine several references in the same quote; the minimum is 10 units per reference.

   Mock-up and quote

   Send us the logo, ideally in SVG, AI or PDF; if you only have PNG or JPG, we will check it. Within 24 working hours you receive the quote and a free mock-up with the embroidery on the towel.

   Production and delivery

   You pay when you approve the mock-up, before production starts. Production normally takes two to three weeks, and delivery is tracked.
